This title offers more guidance on MOM 2005 design than any other, and is designed for use as a deployment aid. Numerous step-by-step examples guide the reader through configuration of server and management pack settings. Additionally, the book gives some time to 3rd party management pack offerings, and monitoring in heterogeneous environments. Some will complain does lack continuity to a degree, a fact that makes it quite apparent this book was authored by mulitple invidivuals. In the end, it is a useful reference for the novice admin in the mid-market enterprise.
