Update: File System MP v6.0.1.62 for OpsMgr 2007 SP1 and R2 (sealed and unsealed)

An updated version of the File System Management Pack is now available. All download locations have been updated to serve up the latest release.   Be sure to consult the updated MP User Guide, which is included with the download, and just keeps getting better. Many thanks go to Jaime Correia to his aggressive update schedule in response to user feedback.

Updates and fixes in release 6.0.1.62 :

  • Correction of the folder discovery (now works ok with the recursive query)
  • Correction of the file discovery (it discovers all the files within a folder only, not a recursive query), i’ve done this to prevent large quantities of data to the DB.
  • Correction of the task of File Share Permissions (now displays the share permissions instead of the NTFS ones)
  • Added new task for the folder class to display the NTFS permissions.
  • Rule for the folder object “File Count Performance” is now disabled by default, you have to create an override to use it (was creating a big overhead in
  • the folder discovery process).
  • Rule for the File Share object “File Share Performance” - This rule only collects performance data and it’s displayed on the view File Share Performance which is in the File Share.
  • Some tweaks in scripts changed language from Portuguese to English.
  • Some tweaks on Alert descriptions to change some words from Portuguese to English.

I installed the MP . File share discovery works well
Folder share discovery works partially or not at all depending on target . When discoverFolders.vbs is run I get the following error in Operations Manager side of the event log. Is there a easy way around this ? Is there a debugger we can use to step through the VBS code line by line ?
