IBM management packs have as been as well known for the difficulty in actually obtaining a copy as for any functionality contained within. But here’s an interesting find I don’t see in the catalog yet:

The IBM Director 5.2 MP listed in the System Center Pack Catalog has a new name (as shown in figure 1) and updated functionality on the IBM Website. After exporting the MP and looking through the discoveries and monitoring, it appears several changes have taken place. I’ll talk more about what I see under the hood later.

Incidentally, the IBM BladeCenter management pack appears to have received a MAJOR update over the last version I downloaded.
